Kind of downplayed Battleborn's mistakes, there. Pitchford said one thing and did another every step of the way. They were deliberately competing against Overwatch, and failing.
I agree with most of what u said although you failed to mention how battlefield v was out over shadowed by the battle royals fortnite and apex and the majority of people refusing to come off those platforms
We control if companies exist if we decide not to support them they will listen to us
Down with EA
Not including Fallout 76 and Anthem… even tho you mentioned them?
LAWBREAKERS WAS SUCH A GOOD GAME! Hating on Cliffy B was popular at the time, so everyone jumped on that bandwagon. People WANTED Lawbreakers to fail without even playing it
Metal Gear Survive, the game nobody asked for.
Battlefield 5, badly marketed by a tone deaf publisher.
Destiny 2, too busy trying to rob players to be fun.
Fallout 76, proving Bethesda can't do anything right.
And a shout out to Anthem, so poorly executed that it's being rebuilt.
These should stand as examples of what not to do, and for once it looks like EA might be getting the message better than the others.
remember Battlefield 2, other than Bad Company, is the best game of the franchise. The "massive" battles at the time blew my mind
Hitmans failure was absolutely not out of the hands of the developer. Make a game that requires online connectivity and you've lost my money.
Lawbreakers was better than overwatch. Don’t @ me
How is anthem not on here? that game practically died upon release.
I'm so sad about radical heights. It was soooo good
it's november 2019 and I am just now finding out crackdown 3 was released lol.And only because I have been watching top ten videos that keep mentioning how much of a flop it was.yikes.
Part of the reason games lose revenue nowadays is partially because YouTube won't advertise anything that could ruin their reputation. The same thing happened to MK11. Nobody knew it was released because not only will YouTube not advertise it to its fullest potential, YouTubers aren't playing these types of games anymore since they'll just get demonetized (unless they have money to lean on).
I see this video and fallout 76 is on my mind
titanfall 2
You say – 'it's literally my job to know that', not 'it's my job to literally know that'. 2nd one is not correct. Just letting you know for future videos. Or better yet, don't use the word literally because it's way overused.
why would battle born going f2p make a difference? it's a rip off and a terrible game to boot fallout 76 was just a copy and paste of fallout 4 even the same bugs and brokenness. I am a hard core MGS fan I didn't or wouldn't touch MGS survive with a 100 foot pole
Aye what's that song slapping in the background when he talking bout crackdown 3 ?
LOL. Crackhead 3.
EA has lost touch. They overestimate everything. Think their games are the best out there. Try making some down to earth projections. Your not as good as you think.
Anthem should be on this list in all 10 slots.
How was Artifact not #1? It literally died in 2 months.
76 failure is more than just bugs and glitches. the premise of the game itself and how it supposed to be populated by players and no npc, but lack everything including an economy is what make the game completely unplayable
terrible info. with such a know-it-all voice you'd think he know wtf he's talking about. but no, this guys just another youtube idiot hypetraining and selling out. bye
I bought metal gear: survive from a dollar store near my house. I only spent 5 bucks on it. I still regret that purchase.
(I don't know if the game is any good; you need to be connected to the internet to play the single-player campaign, because there is no god, so, since I don't have WiFi, I've never even been able to play it. I basically just a bought a Konami coaster/frisbee.
There WAS a video game market crash around November 2018-January 2019. It was MUCH smaller than the one in the 1980s, but, it's easily seen when looking at EA and Activision Stock. It was pretty significant. And it was a crash that EA bounced back from when they release Apex Legends, but Activision…is struggling to recover from. But…like Activision's stock was cut in half. But…yeah, it wasn't really enough to kill anyone…yet.
Crackdown 3 is the only reason I added Game Pass to my Xbox Live account! Good call, Josh!
Battleborn is so much better than Overwatch.. Such a shame
only EA would see 7.3 million copies a failure rest in peace Issac
I'm surprise to not see anthem on that list.
7:11 Don't forget to leave out that Destiny 2, as an update, made it an option to use special weapons/shotguns in any weapon slot again. The only thing that ruined multiplayer, and they brought it back.
6:34 They hardly did anything to that sequel. The entire game was boring, the story wasn't that engaging, and the dlcs were complete rip offs, giving a lackluster experience. That entire game just SPEWS garbage.
5:50 I'd have preferred Battleborn to be honest. We needed an outsider game to make the stands for once.
Looks like D2 is doing pretty damn good now
Im Glade destiny 2 failed and hopes the series gets canned
Moral of the story?
Don't try to bullshit gamers.
You know I feel bad for Xbox…. Besides halo and gears they don't really have decent exlusives.
EA stupid money pits, like SW battlefront are just the same thing without any story or plot, the same stupid thing as Counter Strike with more technology.
Konami also made the wort choise firing Kojima, first because of MGS and then with Silent Hills…
Greed kills… Almost killed Xbox with the one time game policy, money pits like COD, only online gaming like Fallout 76… Greed without creativity will make always this…. Please don't do it with gta, otherwise the ģame without story is already dead.
Its kinda sad to say, but I was working at gamestop around the time hitman 2 was coming out and we didnt even get a weeks notice that the game was coming out and even less time to prepare our customers for launch night. Didn't even know it was getting a sequel to be honest.
FO76 may have tried to capitalize on the multiplayer survival shooter trend but failed to comprehend the following:
1. The Fallout customer base and the online shooter customer base have little overlap.
2. Existing titles have their established player base and attempting to pull these players away is a challenge. This is the sink cost fallacy.
3. The market is absolutely saturated. I swear that every 10 minutes a new online multiplayer survival game is uploaded to Steam Early Access and they're viewed as easy to mass produce titles that anyone can whip together over a weekend. Its not a genre to throw a big budget behind.
4. Bethesda tried to push their own storefront on the PC. Players are getting tired of the proliferation of launchers and storefronts so they didn't gobble this one up, especially since its developer specific.
Just make solo games, havnt people realised that they're usually the ones that succeed? Oh and guess why, because you can only just focus on that only instead of half assing 2 things you should whole ass just the solo, multiplayer isn't what people are looking for, take red dead redemption and God of war for example, the best games we have had in years all because they full assed the solo, we don't need dlcs.
Listen to what gamers want, we want you to focus on story mode only, take time, don't show us a release date then bring it out in a few years, no dlc, no micro transactions, he'll remove multiplayer until after the full game is done, then of you have a multiplayer idea you can release after for free once the game is actual done
Hitman, at first, were amazing games, it’s only the newer ones that fail, Hitman 1 & 2 were amazing
You do realize the Bungie Activision split a "few months after destiny 2 launch" was over almost a year and a half later right?
You forget a game on this list Microsoft blundered and that was Fable 4
What about halo 4? Compared to halo 3
Who else clicked it because they saw terry crews??
Just me? Ok
Battleborn was amazing. Such a good fucking concept.
Pokemon Let's go? xd
